Abstract

1,106,909. Electro-photographic process. DOW CHEMICAL CO. Oct.28, 1965 [Nov. 9, 1964 (4)], No. 45698/65. Heading G2H. A latent electrostatic image on a layer of ZnO dispersed in a cross-linkable resin (e. g. a silicone resin) on a metal support (e. g. Mg) is developed using a catalyst for cross-linking the resin binder (e. g. aluminium octanoate in a carrier liquid and the layer rinsed with a mixture of an isoparaffin, a fluorochlorohydrocarbon and optionally odourless mineral spirits or aliphatic solvent naphtha, to remove the catalyst from the non-image areas and excess catalyst from the image areas. The plate is then heated to crosslink the resin, and etched. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,006,084.
