1354798 Photo-electrophoretic imaging A POOLE (Xerox Corp) 21 Sept 1971 43899/71 Heading G2H A method of photo-electrophoretic imaging comprises the steps of (a) applying a photoelectrophoretic suspension layer 5 from a roller 3 to an injection electrode plate 1, a charge being simultaneously or subsequently applied, (b) imagewise exposing the layer, and (c) passing a blocking electrode roller 15 over the surface of the layer. Roller 3 may be electrically biased as shown. Alternatively, an electrically biased roller or a corona discharge device may be employed after application of the layer. The injecting electrode may have a coating of photo-conductive material. A positive or negative image may be formed on the injection electrode.
