Abstract

1,106,751. Building panels. F. NOGOSSEK. 19 Feb., 1965 [19 Feb., 1964], No. 6133/65. Heading B1B. In a rectangular building panel comprising plastics facing sheets 36, 37 on a foam plastics core 50, the core 50 is reinforced by wire mesh layers 52 to which are anchored slotted tubes 40 by which adjacent slabs are interconnected. As shown two slotted plastics tubes are anchored in each edge and receive dumb bell shape connecting members. The tubes 39, 40 have associated channels 45, 46 while the tubes 41, 42 are integral with tubes 48, 49 for tension rods or wires. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), slotted tubes opening into the faces rather than the edges of the slabs cooperate with external connecting members (78) (79). A further modification Fig. 3 (not shown). provides a double tongue and undercut groove interlock. A corner piece, Fig. 4 (not shown) is provided for slabs meeting at right angles.
