Abstract

1,103,160. Wedges. C. I. WILLIAMS. 11 Aug., 1966 [26 Aug., 1965], No. 36077/66. Heading F2K. [Also in Division E1] A wedge particularly for use with tie members connecting panels in the casting of concrete, comprises a base 26 having an aperture 33, which may receive the tie member, and a ramp portion 25 of U-shape cross - section and longitudinal slot 22 communicating with the aperture 33. The base 26 has an end flange 34 and side flanges 29, 30 of varying height which is a minimum adjacent the highest point of the ramp 25. The base 26 is provided with holes which may receive locking nails. Preferably the wedge has a series of numbers in sequence spaced uniformly along its length for measuring its axial location. The wedge may be of sheet metal or cast material.
