[Also in Division E2] A tie-rod 3 for bracing a mould wall 4 for concrete casting is secured by a plate 1 with an oblique hole whose edges locate on or bite into the surface of the rod. One end of the rod 3 may be held by a spring steel plate 1 pulled flat against the wall 4 by the rod, Fig. 4 (not shown), and the other end may be held adjacent an opposing wall by a plate 1 swung to a secured position by a wedge 5 driven down along that wall.
