Abstract

1500531 Reinforcing formwork J MAIER 24 Jan 1975 [24 Jan 1974] 3264/75 Heading E1S An elongate reinforcing upright member for formwork is of channel-section with relatively inclined legs 2 having outwardly extending flanges 13 at their free edges for securing in contact with formwork, the legs 2 being resiliently movable such that their relative inclination may be adjusted to different extents (to effect varying pre-stressing) at different regions along the length of the member, with securing means extending between the legs to hold them in their adjusted positions. The securing means, as shown, comprises spacer sleeves 6 located at their ends in indentations 5 in the legs, and receiving fastening screws 7, either the indentations being of varying depths, or the spacer sleeves being of varying lengths, along the reinforcing member. Alternatively, the securing means may comprise spacer bolts carrying nuts at their ends for tightening against the legs 2 through inclined inserts, (Fig. 4, not shown). The flanges 13 and web 4 may have fastening perforations 16, 15.
