Abstract

1534802 Pipe supports R PERJES 19 Aug 1977 [20 Aug 1976 21 Oct 1976] 34959/77 Heading F2P Figs. 1 and 2 show a pipe hanger which consists of a metal strip 4 and a buckle 5. The ends of the stric project through the buckle from above and are held in place on a threaded rod 2 by nut 3. The cut-out in the buckle is as shown in Fig. 2 with the tangs positioning the rod 2. Alternatively, the cut-out in the buckle may be rectangular and the strip have projections thereon where it extends through the buckle width of the rod 2 apart. There may be one projection on each end of the strip providing they are on opposite sides of the strip. Fig. 4 shows another embodiment where the ends of the strip extend through the buckle from underneath and are held positioned by washer 5<1> and nut 6<1>.
