1,103,044. Mowing machines; couplings. BLANCH-LELY Ltd. 19 March, 1965 [25 March, 1964], No. 11846/65. Headings A1F and A1P. A tractor mounted flail mower comprises a main frame 5 on which is journalled a rotatable shaft 8 connected to the tractor p.t.o. shaft, a laterally extending secondary frame 11 pivotally mounted on the shaft 8, and a housing 16 having a rotatable flail shaft 17 journalled therein, which housing is pivotally mounted on a shaft 13 rotatably journalled in the secondary frame. The shaft 13 drives the flail shaft via bevel gearing independently of the position of the housing relative to the secondary frame, and is driven from the shaft 8 via a belt and pulleys. The housing is supported on skids 20, 21.
