Abstract
110,173. Lironi, V. G. Aug. 4, 1916. Four-stroke-cycle engines; cylinders, arrangement of ports in.-In engines in which the working charges comprise a light and a heavy fuel admitted separately, air carburetted with heavy fuel is drawn in through a valve d during the first portion of the suction stroke and is followed by air mixed with a light fuel which is drawn in through a valve e. The proportion of heavy to light fuel is approximately three or four to one. Paraffin, alcohol, &c. may comprise the heavy fuel and petrol, benzol, &c. the light fuel.
