3706. Boorer, A. Feb. 14. Spray carburettors.-In a multiple-jet earburettor a grooved controlling-plug is employed to bring the nozzles into action in succession and to admit air to the cylinders when the nozzles are cut off. Nozzles C<1>, C<2>, C' are situated in a chamber A provided with a partition A<1> and are brought into action in succession by rotating the grooved plug B. When the plug is in the position shown, the nozzles are cut off, and air only is admitted through a port E. This air serves for scavenging and for preventing suction of lubricant past the piston.
