1,098,973. Hot water boilers; incandescent gas fires. RICHARD BAXENDALE & SONS Ltd. April 14, 1966 [Feb. 23, 1965], No. 7842/65. Headings F4A and F4W. The burners 3 of a radiant-convector gas fire mounted in front of a fire surround 8 are supplied from a flame failure device also supplying gas to the burners 14 of a boiler mounted within the fireplace recess. The flame failure device is controlled by a pilot burner serving both sets of burners, and an independent governor and thermostatic control is provided for each set of burners. A hood 15 directs the gases from the boiler to mingle with those from the radiant fire.
