[Class 135] The gas supply to the burner 1 of a water heater is controlled by a valve 4 actuated by a bi-metallic loop 5 subject to the heat of a control jet 9, The supply of gas to this jet is controlled by a valve 12 actuated by a thermal element 13 inserted in the water container. A permanently burning pilot flame 6 is adapted to ignite both the control burner and the main burner.
