Abstract

1,094,524. Resistors. ALLM€NNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. March 10, 1965 [March 12, 1964; Jan. 27, 1965], No. 10121/65. Heading H1S. A high voltage resistor comprises a number of disc coils 1 of resistance strip separated by insulating discs 2 (Fig. 1), alternate pairs of disc coils being connected together at their inner and outer edges as shown to provide a non-inductive arrangement. The coil turns may be insulated with enamel, silicon lacquer, asbestos or glass fibre tape. Each coil may be a composite coil formed of an even number of layers of insulated turns connected in parallel, adjacent layers being wound in opposite directions (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown). The inner contact rings of the turns of alternate composite coils may have spring contact fingers by which they can each be connected to an adjacent coil.
