Abstract

109,367. Jones, G. Dec. 21, 1916. Motors, gearing for.-The rotating armature j, Fig. 1, of a motor is mounted on a sleeve i surrounding a fixed shaft a; the sleeve i carries a pinion k which meshes with an idle pinion l, causing the latter to drive the inside teeth m of an outer driving pulley d. The field magnets h are carried by a stationary frame f. The pulley d may carry also a chain-wheel c. The motor is particularly applicable for driving the belting of conveyers of the kind described in Specification 102,831. [Class 78 (i), Conveyers &c.], the pulley d, Fig. 2, being arranged within the frame and the chain wheel e being employed to drive clutch-mechanism.
