Abstract

The drive unit has many applications including driving a mixer, winch, or vehicle. An output shaft or similar is rotated relative to a base. An axle journal or neck is coupled to the base. A driving collar is coupled to the output member. A first bearing is coupled to the inner section of the axle journal and the driving collar. A second bearing is coupled to the outer section of the axle journal and the driving collar. A motor drives the input shaft or similar member. Toothed gears are mounted between the bearings and are coupled to the input shaft and driving collar. The latter is thereby driven at different r.p.m. from the input shaft.
