[Also in Division B7] An oil tank of a vessel, e.g. a marine tanker, comprises a base 4 to which is attached a latticelike structure of longitudinal and transverse members 1, 1<SP>1</SP> and 2, 3 defining a plurality of spaces interconnected by holes (5, Fig. 1). An anti-vortex plate 6 partially covers a space and the outwardly belled end of a suction pipe 10 extends through the plate 6 to adjacent the tank base. A vertical anti-spin plate 12 is welded to the plate 6.
