Abstract
1,091,759. Removable decks. BLOHM & VOSS A.G. May 12, 1966 [Sept. 20, 1965], No. 21038/66. Heading B7S. In a cargo vessel a pivoted stack of decks 8 is supported by a beam 1 pivotably mounted at 6, which engages with its free end 9 into the path of pivotal movement of the stack of decks, the pivot point 6 being outside this path, and the beam 1 drops into the support position immediately before the terminal upward movement of the stack, in which position the beam underlies the stack. To pivot the stack of decks back from the sloping position the stack is raised slightly to position 8a, the beam 1 is moved by linkage 4, 5 attached to nose-shaped lug 2 into the broken line release position. Spring 7 urges the beam into its support position.
