Abstract

1421426 Sheet handling apparatus XEROX CORP 4 May 1973 [8 May 1972] 21258/73 Heading B8R This Specification describes the apparatus which is described in Specification 1,421,425 but is particularly concerned with the linkage for moving the bail bar 32 from a position beneath the documents 8, Fig. 7a, to a position on top of these documents, Fig. 7e. The claims are directed to these features. As shown the bar 32 is carried by a link 82 which is connected at one end to a crank 84 and at its mid point to a rod 83 pivotally mounted on fixed point 403. This linkage causes the bar to execute a generally rectangular path commencing with a movement out from under the documents 8 and finishing with a descent on to the top of these documents.
