Abstract

1,090,074. Valves. BOWSER INTERNATIONAL Ltd. May 7, 1964 [July 1, 1963], No. 26063/63. Heading F2V. A valve in a petrol dispensing apparatus comprises a body 11 defining a sector-shaped chamber 16 connecting with aligned inlet and outlet ports 14 and 15 respectively. A carbon closure disc 25 is supported on an arm 12 so that it can be moved by rotation of a shaft 17 from a position closing the outlet to to a position clear of the outlet. The disc 25 is loaded by a spring 26 towards the outlet 15 so that, in the closed position of the valve, excess pressure in the outlet can be relieved to the chamber 16 and inlet 14 through holes 28.
