Abstract

1,089,652. Cartridge primers. DYNAMIT NOBEL A.G. Jan. 14, 1966 [Jan. 15, 1965], No. 1961/66. Heading F3A. A cartridge primer 4 is held in the base of cartridge case 1 by a cap 10 which bears against a rim 5 of the primer and has a flange 11 secured against the cartridge base by a lip 12, which may be formed by cold-working. The primer may be inserted in a threaded sleeve,. which in turn is screwed into the cartridge case before attaching the cap 10 By varying. the thickness of the cap 10, the ignition sensitivity of the primer may be varied. The primer 4 is aligned with a<SP> </SP>flash passage 3 which, may contain a booster charge. Lacquer may be applied to-flange 11 to provide a moisture-tight closure;
