Abstract

1,089,378. Gas-washing apparatus. SVENSKA ROTAR MASKINER A.B. Dec. 29, 1965 [Dec. 29, 1964], No. 52633/64. Heading B1R. A gas-washing apparatus comprises a two part casing 1, 2 with gas inlets and outlets 18 and 19 respectively and liquid inlets 20 (not shown) and liquid outlets 21 has mounted therein for rotation shafts 7 and 9, shaft 7 carrying a liquid distributing device 8 and shaft 9 a disc 10 carrying a frame 11 to which contact elements are detachably secured being accessible through an opening 14 (not shown) in the housing by removing a detachable cover plate. As shown the contact elements are plates located in buckets 12. Alternatively the contact elements may be plate arranged in units, the plates in a unit being parallel to a central radially extending plate or the plates may be curved.
