Abstract

1,089,240. Securing door handles &c. on spindles. H. & C. DAVIS & CO. Ltd. Jan. 27, 1965, No. 3621/65. Heading F2U. A member 15 such as a door handle, knob or adjusting wheel is secured on a square spindle 12 by a block 14, one face 14A of which is serrated and engages complementary serrations on one side of the spindle, the block and spindle entering a socket recess 16 in the member 15 and being retained in position by a grub screw 18 passing through the socket and engaging a depression 14B on the opposite face of the block. The latter may be made of magnetic material so that it will not become detached from the spindle during assembling or dismantling.
