A handle for hairdressing sprays comprises a tube 2 extending longitudinally through the handle, the tube terminating in a first spherical member 3, to which a spray 6 is attached, and a second spherical member 4 connected to the water supply. A hand lever 7 fixed to the first spherical member, can move into two separate fixed positions, a first position in which the valve is closed and no water comes through the spray, and a second position, in which the maximum volume of water is supplied. A closure member 10 urged by the spring 11, abuts by the pin m either against a flat surface p of a cam 8, or against a flat surface q. When it abuts p the lever is in the first position above, and when it abuts q in the second position. Operation of the lever so that the pin m rounds the corner formed by the two flat surfaces causes the valve to lock in either of the above positions.
