Abstract
1,087,636. Capacitors. TELEGRAPH CONDENSER CO. Ltd. Oct. 28, 1964 [Nov. 12, 1963 (2)], No. 43940/64. Heading H1M. A capacitive element is hermetically sealed in a container, the end wall of which becomes domed if the internal pressure rises sufficiently to break one or more leads as shown at points 19. The tabs 12 from the element are riveted at 18 to an insulating non-flexible member 17. The member 17 may be replaced by a spacer (13) attached to the terminals, Fig. 5 (not shown), with support member (27) retaining the element in place when doming of the end occurs. Alternatively, Fig. 7 (not shown), the outer can may have an internal beading (28) for this purpose.
