1,086,885. Furniture frames. RACOLE TRADING & MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. May 20, 1965 [June 4, 1964; Nov. 12, 1964], No. 21464/65. Heading A4H. A structural frame comprises tubular members 6 which are joined together by means of hollow deformable plastic inserts 1 through which screws 3a are passed. An insert 1 is inserted in the end of a first tubular member 6 and the screw 3a is screwed into a threaded aperture 6a in a second tubular member. Tightening the screw causes the plastic insert to expand and grip the first tubular member. A junction member comprising a cube (Fig. 5) with threaded through apertures in all its faces may be used in conjunction with the inserts.
