Boxes made from special blanks; lined boxes; partitioned boxes; contents, delivering and facilitating access to.-A box or packet for cigarettes &c. is formed from a creased blank provided with a slit c for a fastening-tongue g and with an extension f, which is folded inwards over the slit c so as to prevent damage of the contents by the tongue g. The box is divided into two compartments by a partition l formed integrally with lifting-bands j, j<1>, which pass through slots d and are adapted to raise the cigarettes so that they can be readily grasped. The partition l may be omitted, in which case only one band j, j' is employed.
