Abstract

322,152. Pilon, C. A., and Schwartz, R. April 20, 1929. Boxes made from special blanks; contents, delivering. - In a cardboard or like cigarette carton having an opening through which one or more cigarettes may be ejected at a time by a slidable carrier disposed in the carton, the carrier 21 is provided with a side flap or flaps 22 which make slidable contact with the adjacent side or sides of the carton and give substantial angular support and guidance to the carrier. The part 25 of the carrier which supports the cigarettes to be ejected is formed with side flaps 24 which are secured to the flaps 22 and the top 23 of the carrier has a tongue 26 which engages a slit 26<a> in the top of the carton when the top 23 is folded over the flap 20<a> closing the delivery opening 20. The carton is formed from a blank bent and secured into tubular form with a hinged top 16.
