Abstract

240,749. Du Val, R. B. April 30, 1925. Drawer - and-shell boxes; contents, facilitating access to. -The drawer 2 of a box or carton for cigarettes &c. is arranged to have a lateral swinging movement with respect to the shell 1 so as to project the contents 9 in a stepped manner for easy access thereto. As shown, the drawer is formed from a blank with a back panel 3, ends 4, 5 and end flaps 6, 7, the back panel being cut out or notched at 11, 12 so that, upon being partly withdrawn from the shell 1, the drawer can be swung or tilted as shown with the side 12 of the notch abutting against the shell. The flap 7 forming the bottom of the drawer is longer than the flap 6 to lessen the liability of displacement of the flap 7 when the drawer is partly withdrawn.
