The lower and upper pivoted shoes 2, 3 of a trouser press have cut-away parts 4, 5 respectively and depressions 6, 7 in the pressing surfaces. Both shoes are adapted to be steam heated with provision for supplying and exhausting the steam and a pivoted tubular frame 13 for receiving a pressing cloth 14 to be interposed between the trouser legs is provided. A stretching device 8-10 for the waistband may be provided which may also be combined as at 18, 19 with the frame 13. A nylon bag 11 connected to a compressed air pipe 12 may be provided for insertion into the body parts of the trousers before the pressing operation.
