Abstract

1,077,602. Yielding mine support stilts. W. EGGEMANN and E. VON CAMPENHAUSEN. July 14, 1965 [Aug. 25, 1964], No. 29766/65. Heading EIE. A yielding mine support stilt consists of a strut of channel section having laterally extending flanges at the free ends thereof, which flanges are apertured to receive slotted locating pins 9 of a closure for 11. The strut consists of two Z-shaped sections welded together as shown and the bar 11 is clamped thereto by wedges co-operating with the slotted pins and the strut flanges. In a modification the flanges of the strut have tubular extensions welded thereto through which bolts carried by a closure bar project for clamping purposes, see Figs. 4, 5 and 6 (not shown).
