719,410. Arch supports In mines. BOCHUMER EISENHUTTE HEINTZMANN & CO., GES. March 11, 1952 [March 27, 1951], No. 6300/52. Class 20 (2) An arch support for mine galleries comprises a roof bar 3a, Fig. 2, which may be straight or cambered and is supported at each end by a yielding two-part prop 1a, 1b, the parts 1a, 1b both being longitudinally curved and of flanged open channel section nesting one inside the other and clamped together at their overlap by two U-clamps 2 and wedges 3, Fig. 3. The clamps 2 may be connected by straps 2a.
