Abstract

1,077,549. Wells &c. J. S. PAGE and J. S. PAGE, Jr. Nov. 25, 1965 [Nov. 27, 1964], No. 50233/65. Heading E1F. In a well having a barrier 17 dividing it into upper and lower zones 19, (13), the flow from the zone (13) to the zone 19 and well head is controlled by a pressure responsive valve 53 controlling ports 50. Control pressure is applied to the valve by a line 15, and this pressure may be pressure from the zone 19 either supplemented or reduced. A line 16 having a check valve 80 is used to inject acid or steam into the zone (13). The barrier has packing and anchors actuated by the pressure in the zone (13) which is indicated at the wellhead.
