Abstract
1,110,309. Wells &c. TEXACO DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. 7 Oct., 1966, No. 44944/66. Heading E1F. A well-head comprises at least one flow-line 32 from the well, hydraulically-actuated valve 38 controlling flow from the well, pressure line 62 for the hydraulic liquid comprising a well treatment fluid, and a device 78 which opens as pressures above the normal control pressures for operating valve 38 to pass said liquid into the flow line. As shown, device 78 is connected via line 80 including restriction 84 to a cap 50 on an extension of the flow line, the extension including a hydraulically-actuated valve 46. Fluid from the well passes through line 52 to a delivery point, and line 54 containing valve 56 may be provided along which a scraper may be passed to clean line 52. In use, pressure is applied to line 62 to open valves 38, 46 and close valve 56. When the well-treatment fluid is to be applied to the flow-line, line 52 is closed at the delivery point and the pressure in line 62 increased to open device 78. In another arrangement line 80 is connected via line 86 to the delivery line. In yet another arrangement, the space above packer 92 may be filled with the fluid, and device 78 opening between said space and the interior of tubing 25.
