Abstract

The transfer layer of a carbon paper comprises a mixture in specified proportions of four ingredients: (a) an olefinic copolymer, e.g. of ethylene and vinyl acetate, (b) a paraffin wax, a microcrystalline wax or a mixture thereof, (c) castor oil or tricresyl phosphate, and (d) a pigment, e.g. carbon black, Milori blue or a magnetic pigment.ALSO:The transfer layer of a carbon paper comprises a mixture in specified proportions of four ingredients: (a) an olefinic copolymer, e.g. of ethylene and vinyl acetate, (b) a paraffin wax, a microcrystalline wax or a mixture thereof, (c) castor oil or tricresyl phosphate, and (d) a pigment, e.g. carbon black, Milori blue or a magnetic pigment. This composition is coated on to a carrier sheet which can be a film or a carbonizing tissue. In Example 3, the coating is heat-transferable.
