384,379. Joint-making packing. MORETON, T. G., 2, Gwaelodywaun Villas, Pengam Road, Aberbargoed, Monmouthshire. Sept. 16, 1931, No. 25892. [Class 122 (iii).] Joint -making packing comprises an annealed, mildsteel ring covered by a film of lead. The ring is flat or corrugated. The steel ring A is provided with a lead film B comprising ground lead with a carrier applied as a liquid or as a pigment. A final coating of graphite or blacklead is smeared on, or applied as powder while the film B is sticky.
