Abstract

649,158. Duplicating ink. McCAFFREY, W. C. B. April 30, 1948, No. 11845. Drawings to Specification. [Class 146 (iii)] [Also in Group XVI] An ink, suitable for being applied by a cold printing process on to a transfer sheet for producing a master original from which a number of copies can be obtained [see Group XVI], contains no or little wax so that a coating is obtained which is relatively hard and clean to use. A suitable composition comprises methyl violet 30 per cent, mixed polymers of linseed oil and dehydrated castor oil 50 per cent, wool fat 15 per cent, vegetable wax 3 per cent, mineral wax 2 per cent. The proportions of the first three components may be varied within wide limits.
