Abstract

[Also in Division G1] An arrangement for indicating a machine loading by means of an electric dynamometer 12 is characterized in that a primary winding 9 of a current transformer 8 is connected into an electric supply lead of the main driving motor 18 of the machine, the transformer being provided with a plurality of secondary windings 10 which are connectable by way of a contact means 11 to the current coil 13 of the dynamometer in such a manner that for all speeds of a work spindle of the machine, the full deflection of a pointer of the dynamometer corresponds to the maximum permissible loading of the machine. The contact means may be coupled through a toothed wheel and segment arrangement with a speed selector switch for the selection of the various speeds of the work spindle (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown) and the dynamometer may be provided with a scale calibrated in percentages (Fig. 5, not shown). In order to stop the motor of the machine when a definite maximum loading is exceeded, an adjustable contact indicator which releases a cut-out signal when it coincides with the pointer may be provided in the dynamometer or an adjustable bimetal relay may be connected into the secondary circuit of the current transformer.
