Abstract

1,076,415. Storing gases. JERSEY PRODUCTION RESEARCH CO. Aug. 7, 1964, No. 32256/64. Heading F4P. [Also in Division F1] A method of recovering hydrocarbons from a subterranean gas condensate reservoir (.10), Fig. (not shown), connected by an injection well (12) and a production well (14) to the earth's surface (11), comprises injecting through the injection well (12) a dry gas (16) to form a barrier between the gas condensate (15) and water (17) from a source (23) subsequently injected through the well (12) to force the gas condensate up the well (14). The gas condensate passes to a separator (19) where liquid is drawn off through a line (20) whereas the gas dividesin to two streams, part passing to a compressor (21) and part to a line (24). The gas compressed by the compressor (21) and/or gas supplied from a source (22) is used as the dry gas injected through the well (12) and in certain circumstances through a further well (13).
