Abstract
1,075,478. Reinforcement tie; posts. R. TREWARTHA. June 30, 1965 [Sept. 4, 1964; Oct. 15, 19641, Nos. 36377/64 and 42143/64. Headings E1B and E1W. Reinforcement rods 14, Fig. 2 are connected together and located in a mould by wire clip members 15 having a straight centre portion and two straight end portions 13 extending in a common direction substantially at right angles to the centre portion, the bends at the junctions of said end portions 13 with the centre portions being shaped to form hooks which engage the reinforcement rods 14. The portions 13 extend outwardly with respect to the assembled reinforcement to locate it in a mould. The portions 13 may be treated, for example by means of a thermoplastic coating, to prevent rust, or the whole of the clip memiber may be so treated. A reinforcement assembly for a tapered article, for example a post, may comprise reinforcements connected by clips 15 at one end which are shorter than those used at the other end of the reinforcements.
