1,073,730. Radial bogie. SCHWEIZERISCHE LOKOMOTIV- & MASCHINENFABRIK. Dec. 14, 1964, No. 50867/64. Heading B7L. In a radial bogie-having an axle 1 with an imaginary pivot point. O, rubber members 17 are arranged between flat guide surfaces 13 and 14 of the axle box 5 and flat guide surfaces 15 and 16 of the bearing yoke 6, these surfaces being normal to a vertical plane passing through the pivot point. In Fig. 3, the rubber members are located each side of the central transverse plane of the axle bearing and in Fig. 4'they are located on this plane. The yoke (6), Fig. 1 (not shown), transmits the weight of the vehicle body to the axle box via springs (4), and is guided vertically on pins (8) of the bogie frame (3) in guide bushings (10), Lateral deflection of the axle causes restoring members (20), Fig. 2 (not shown), located between the yoke and the axle box to provide an opposite force on the axle by the compression of springs (23).
