Abstract

In a three-shot Axminster loom the tuft-binding shots (12) are beaten-up to a lesser extent than the other shots (13), (14). A bell crank lever (31), is pivoted at (32) and supports a reed (4) which is pivoted about (30) by a cam (40). An eccentric (35) operates at a third of the speed of the cam (40) to rock the bell crank (31) and move the pivot (30) so that the reed (4) does not beat as far forward for the tuftbinding shot (12).
