Abstract
1,070,395. Image converter tubes. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. July 15, 1964 [July 15, 1963], No. 29089/64. Heading H1D. A circuit arrangement comprises an imageconverter tube or image-amplifying tube which has at least one first 2 and one second 3 focusing electrode, seen in the direction of the electrons, between the cathode electrode 1 connected to the photo-cathode 5 and the anode electrode 4 connected to the luminescent screen 6, and the two focusing electrodes 2, 3 are connected to potential sources which can be adjusted or switched over for the purpose of varying the reproduction scale. The potential on the first focusing electrode is not higher than that on the two electrodes adjacent to it and is made increasingly negative, relative thereto, in order to increase the scale of the image on the screen. It is stated that potentials on electrodes 1, 2, 3, 4 of 0, 0, 0, # 4 kv. respectively give a reproduction scale of 0.4 to 1, and potentials of 0, - 3.3, + 4, + 4 kv. respectively give a reproduction scale of 1 to 1.
