Abstract

1,068,114. Container closures. P. E. L. BONNEFOY. March 8, 1965 [March 7, 1964; Feb. 16, 1965], No. 9744/65. Heading B8T. A powder or liquid dispenser mounted in a receptacle opening comprises two portions 1, 2 interconnected by a flexible tongue 3, and having depending side walls 4, 5. The tongue has a line of apertures therealong which, in the closed position of the dispenser shown, are folded along their diameters to a closed position. To open the dispenser a tongue 11 is pulled and the portion 2 pivots about one end of the receptacle opening and the portion 1 is partly withdrawn, the apertures in the tongue 3 are opened, and edges 4b, 5b of the walls 4, 5 abut. A pouring spout 7 hinged at 8 is located in the part 1 and may be used when the dispenser is open. In a modification a two-part dispenser is held within a receptacle aperture lying in a non-planar surface, and the parts are urged apart by a spring to provide a positive locking of the dispenser in the closed position.
