Abstract

989,415. Collapsible containers. W. ZARGES. Oct. 3, 1963 [Oct. 10, 1962], No. 39006/63. Heading B8P. A collapsible container has its lid 7 connected pivotally to one wall of the container by a pair of resilient arms 3, hinged to the container wall at 1, and having at their free ends elongated lateral projections 5 passing through slots 6 in the lid. In the closed and fully open positions of the lid the projections are oblique or transverse of the slots preventing detachment of the lid, but in the intermediate position shown in Fig. 3, the projections and slots are aligned so that by squeezing together the resilient arms the lid may be detached. The projections 5 may be riveted to the arms 3 or may be integrally moulded therewith.
