Abstract

1,066,230. Sliders. GIUMEN-ANSTALT. Aug. 4, 1964 [July 25, 1963], No. 31281/64. Heading E2S. A slider for opening and closing the fastener stringers of a sliding clasp fastener comprises a slider body 1, a longitudinally movable lug member 2 slidably mounted on the slider body, a locking lever 4 pivoted on the slider body, one end of said lever forming a locking prong 5 adapted to engage between successive coupling members of the stringers, the opposite end of the locking lever being enlarged and offset relatively to the longitudinal axis of the lever, a retracting spring 10 acting on the enlarged end tending to hold the prong 5 in the locked position, said enlarged lever end being provided with a recess 7 defining two-cam surfaces 12, 13 one inclined relative to the other, a pin 11 carried by the lug member 2 and traversing said recess, and a pull tab 3 connected to the lug member, to pull the lug member with respect to the slider body, whereby said pin carried by the lug member acts on one of the cam surfaces to cause the locking lever to pivot against the spring out of the locked position. The locking lever is pivoted on a pin 9 mounted in a recess in the slider body. The pull tab 3 slides around the lug member on peripheral flanges 2a (Fig. 1 not shown).
