999,859. Sliding clasp fasteners; stops. YOSHIDA KOGYO KABUSHIKI KAISHA. Aug. 10, 1962 [Dec. 23, 1961], No. 30810/62. Heading E2S. An end stop for a sliding clasp fastener of the kind which incorporates a slider for connecting two sets of interconnecting elements, comprises a male element 2 bearing a hook 5 having shoulders m, a column portion 4 with a recessed anchor portion 6 and a female element 3 having a laterally opening slot 10, jaws 7 and shoulder portions 8. In use, the slider is moved to abut the shoulder 8 of the female element 3 and the column 4 is inserted laterally into the slot 10 until the hook 5 engages the jaws 7, so that, in this position the surface n of the anchor portion 6 engages a lug of the lowest fastening element E of the set of elements to which the female element 3 is connected.
