Abstract
1,061,232. Dynamo - electric machines. LLOYD DYNAMOWERKE G.m.b.H. April 16, 1964, No. 15832/64. Heading H2A. A dynamo-electric, e.g. synchronous machine has mounted for common rotation a field winding, a rectifier 34 and an A.C. winding which supplies excitation current to the field winding through the rectifier, a resistor 35 having tapping points, contacts 14 ... 17 connected to the tapping points rectifier output and field winding ends, and brushes 37, 38; there is also provided a means for shifting while the machine is rotating the brushes relatively to the contacts whereby the winding ends are connected to the rectifier output either directly or through portions of the resistor. The windings are carried on respective rotors 30, 33, the resistor is subdivided into two halves (12, 13) Fig. 2, connected to respective contacts in the form of, segments 14, 15 carried on.a disc 36, and the means comprises an auxiliary motor whose squirrel-cage rotor 42 is carried on a hub 41 supporting the brushes 37, 38 and whose stator 43 is supplied with: a variable frequeney.
