Abstract

1,058,537. Resistors. DALE ELECTRONICS Inc. July 20, 1965, No. 30723/65. Heading H1S. A resistor 10 having terminals 15, 16 is encapsulated in dense plastics material inside a metallic tube 17. The tube 17 may be an aluminium tube provided with cooling ribs 23 and a flat base portion. The plastics material may be phenolic, epoxy or silicone powder or pellets liquefied under heat and pressure and injected into the tube 17 under pressure. Mineral fillers may be used. The resistor unit may be a wire coil in tube 10.
