Abstract

1,058,295. Manure spreaders. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. June 1, 1964 [June 20, 1963], No. 22578/64. Heading AID. A manure spreading machine comprises flails 29 pivotally mounted on a transverse member 20 rotatably mounted in a hopper 12 provided with an endless conveyer 17, the flails being formed as an integrally cast or forged mounting with a bore 25 for attachment to lugs 22 on the member 20 and a blade portion 31 which may be formed by a beading of weld or alternatively as a separate hardened blade attached by rivets. The blade is so shaped that the portion 30 is twisted with respect to the plane of rotation of the flail.
