Abstract

1,056,471. Hydraulic reciprocating pumps. COMITETUL DE STAT AL APELOR, ROUMANIA. Nov.22, 1963, No.46312/63. Heading F1A. A liquid pressure operated deep well pump comprises a double-acting piston 7 dividing a body 6 into two pump spaces 7a, 7b, the piston being operated by pressure pulses supplied alternately to driving liquid spaces 8a, 8b, at opposite ends of extensions of the piston. Each pump space 7a, 7b, has inlet and delivery valves 13, 15, and safety valves 17 in the driving ends of the piston are opened by the ends of the cylinder to halt the piston movement upon excessive piston travel. The pressure pulses for operating the pump piston are set up by a generator pump 20, Fig. 4, on the surface having a differential doubleaetery piston 24, the opposite faces of the annular piston surface of which set up pressure pulses of opposite phase in outlets 25a, 25b, connected by pipes to the driving spaces 8a, 8b, of the pump piston. The piston 24 is operated from a crank 24 by a connecting rod passing through the hollow piston and connected to a gudgeon pin 23 at its remote end.
